The goal of the Design Toolkit is to enhance collaborative problem-solving and strengthen value propositions. By delivering solutions based on client and market needs, we create shared value for both the business and its stakeholders.
PURPOSE
1. Stakeholder Engagement
We began by communicating with relevant stakeholders and specialists to gather their contributions for the enterprise-wide toolkit document.
This collaboration was crucial for ensuring that the toolkit encompassed all necessary theoretical information, practical tools, and templates used in various faculties.
2. Content Development
The toolkit includes internal and external case studies demonstrating how each methodology and tool has been successfully applied in real-life scenarios.
I personally crafted over 10 case studies, consolidating artefacts and templates from stakeholders to create a comprehensive "bible" of design.
This document serves as a reference for any design stakeholder, ensuring consistency and high standards across all projects.
PROCESS
3. Document Creation
Working closely with stakeholders, we finalised the document, which now serves as a vital resource for the design faculty.
The toolkit provides proven systems that can be replicated and delegated at the highest standard.
4. Business as Usual (BAU)
Since its creation, the Design Toolkit has entered into BAU, with ongoing iterations and contributions from the wider design faculty.
This continuous growth ensures the toolkit remains relevant and effective, adapting to new challenges and innovations.
Stages of Fit
The toolkit bridges the divide between user goals and business goals by providing practical tools that guide client-centered value design and delivery. This ensures that solutions not only fit user needs but also perform well in the market.
The "Enterprise Toolkit Project" successfully created a robust and comprehensive Design Toolkit that empowers agile teams at Nedbank to develop solutions that meet both user and business needs.
This initiative has established a high standard for design processes at Nedbank, fostering innovation and value creation for all stakeholders.
